Tom van Poucke, Branch Sectretary in Mauritius met up with Paul Murray for a special tour of the school.  He and his wife Nicki were wanting to plant the seed that this could one day be the school that Felix and Max might attend.

Tom is currently employed with Sanlam Trustees International as Partner. He is setting up a growth division to expand the Mauritius business in terms of the traditional Mauritius corporate and trust offering as well as fund administration.  He says that many South Africans pass through Mauritius for business and they often stay for extended periods of time.

Tom shared with us that there are a number of ODs in Mauritius who get together.  They usually have an AGM once a year.  Often this takes place on a boat or catamaran and involves a lot of fun and socialising!  They have are planning their next AGM in September or October this year, so any ODs who are in Mauritius at that time are invited to join them.  Keep an eye out for this event on our events page.

Dr Murray remembers Tom from the days when he coached him rugby and he was Assistant House Master in Ogilvie.  He enjoyed taking them on the tour of the school and catching in the Mitre Lounge.
