The University of Cape Town (UCT) Internal Rugby League semi-finals were played on Wednesday 19 September 2018. The Cobras, a side that features many ODs, went down 7-18 in a exceptionally physical match against the Turtles. This loss was a real hurt for the Cobras, who had progressed undefeated through the round-robin phase.
The Turtles, on the other hand, lost to the Cobras in the 2017 Final, and were hungry for revenge.
The Knights won their semi-final in a 15-12 nailbiter against the Nadoes, a side consisting of mostly Rondebosch Old Boys.
William Day (2015F), Michael Alberts (2015F), and Nicholas van Ryneveld (2015G) represents the ODs in the Knights team, and Eddie Murphy (2015K) and Nicholas Frankenfeld (2015K) are the OD representative in the Turtles side. We wish both sides strength for the finals, to be played on Wednesday 26 September 2018 at the UCT Green Mile.
Our best wishes to the Cobras in their 3/4th place playoff against the Nadoes.
