Fourth of July Rest

Thursday offered a brief respite for Princeton's heavyweight rowers at the Henley Royal Regatta. However, it was on the Fifth of July that the Tigers truly shined, showcasing their prowess on the historic waters of the Thames.

Fifth of July Triumph

Princeton fielded two boats on Friday, both emerging victorious to secure coveted spots in Saturday's semifinals. This achievement marks Princeton's 30th and 31st appearances in the semifinal rounds of the prestigious regatta, reaffirming their legacy in rowing excellence.

The day kicked off with the second varsity 8 competing in the Temple Challenge Cup, facing off against the formidable ASR Nereus crew from the Netherlands. Princeton dominated from start to finish, clinching victory by a decisive two-length margin. This win propels them into the semifinals against Oxford Brookes B, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown with a spot in Sunday's championship race on the line.

Nicholas McAdam (2019G) and Princeton celebrated their triumph over Nereus in the Temple Challenge quarterfinals and have set their sights firmly on the upcoming semifinals.
