On Friday 31 March at 7.30PM the OD Hockey side met their Bosch colleagues in a match to draw 2 all, in a freezing winter's Cape evening. 

It was played on the Astro at Woodlands under floodlights.  This followed the main Bishops Rondebosch Hockey derby.

As the match progressed, so the due brought in the chill.  That never prevented the high spirits in which the match was played, and the spectators were treated to good club hockey. 

This match is in the series of OD rugby and hockey matches that are organised over the Bish Bosch weekend.  Other OD sport matches are arranged for ODs to include the summer and winter games.  Two more winter matches will be played next term, which the ODA Paul Murray manages with the help of the captains and other ODs including Dr WP van Zyl (1997K).

They and their colleagues enjoyed the well-deserved liquid refreshment that followed.
