30 Gr 9 boys were selected, based on their submitted motivations, to be part of Big Ideas Class that has been run in teams of three and four and has used the Sustainable Development goals as their content framework to develop skills of critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, communication, empathy and resilience. As part of their assessment boys have had to research an issue and write a narrative essay and will be presenting their journey as their final assessment on 29 November. All boys have been working in teams of three or four and have been encouraged to take action. Tom Bester, Max de Romijn and Chris Forbes launched their gender equality awareness campaign on Monday this week with posters around the school and are selling badges stating Not at My School for R5 – all proceeds will go to ‘Women against Rape’. Please support their initiative,  follow them on Instagram #notatmyschool  - Gender Equality Awareness ( the icon is the badge they are selling). You will then be able to message them directly to buy ( and wear ) their badges.
