Reunions |
Dr Sydney Cullis (1960F) sent us this news following a reunion lunch with his classmates:
12 members of the 1960 Matric's met for a luncheon at the Western Province Cricket Club Sporting Complex in Newlands on Thursday 25th April.
Those present were Alan Ramsay (1960F), Mac Bisset (1960G), Gerald Rosenthal (1960W), Pat Normand (1960S), Dave Evans (1960W), Geoff Caradoc-Davies (1960W), Dave Kilpin (1960F), Chris Saunders (1960,O), Richard Eastwick (1960F), Mark Campbell (1960/1W), Lional Goetz (1960S) and Sydney Cullis (1960F).
Much of the discussion centred on the pro's and con's of moving to a retirement complex. The excellent food was complemented by some wines from the Winshaw Estate, now being run by the sons of our classmate, John Winshaw (1960F), who died in 2019.
A moment of silence was kept to remember him , David Rickets (1960S), Mike Foote (1959W), and Peter Gaylard (1959/50s) and a decision was taken to meet again in the near future at the Winshaw Estate Restaurant.
