Peter Wright (1973F)

Peter Wright (1973) passed away in his sleep in early December 2018. He dedicated the last 10 years of his life to counselling young adults with drug and alcohol dependencies at the Oasis Counseling Centre in Plettenberg Bay. Last year he obtained a Degree in Literature from UNISA and recently completed his first novel. He will be remembered for his incisive mind and a great sense of humour.  He is survived by his sisters, Jenny and Sarah.

A message posted on his Facebook page read:

To all of Pete's family, friends and followers.

It is with sadness I pass this message on.

Pete passed away during the night of Tuesday and Wednesday of the 27/28 November 2018. He passed peacefully in his sleep. He had come to cape town to visit family, his sister Jennifer had come from France to see their ailing mom. Pete came, as it had been many years since he'd seen Jennifer as well as to see his Mum and the rest of the family.

A service was held on Sunday 2 December 2018 at the Brown and Annie retirement home, where their mother stays. The service was attended by family and some friends we were able to contact. Jennifer had to fly back home that same evening.

Pete's closest surviving family members:
Pat Wright (mom)
Jennifer de Bonnafos
Martin Wright
Gillian Sharpe
Marianne Wright Wagner
Sarah Sal Wright

Peter, we going to miss you, with love and blessings,
your brother in law, Gary.
