It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the passing of Stuart Lowe (1980S).

Staurt had been ill for some time. A friend of Stuart shared the news that Stuart passed away on his late daughter, Jenna's, Birthday.  This was the 28th of October.  Jenna passed away aged only 30 on 8 June 2015 after a similarly long illness.

WhyFive’s Julie-Anne Bell, business director at BrandMapp by WhyFive, wote the following about him:

“Stu, you reached legendary status in the industry and touched so many’s lives. From the outpouring of messages I have read today you have been described as a mensch, a man above men, a beloved husband (Gabi Lowe), the best father ever (Kristi Lowe), a brother (Alison McCutcheon (Lowe) and Shirley Lowe), a mentor, a friend, a gentleman, a genuine man, a dear friend, a prince among men, a stellar gent, a man with a beautiful presence, larger than life, a man who lived life to the fullest always pushing boundaries of rules and always with his cheeky laugh, caring and supportive; a remarkable human, possessed great generosity of spirit, always ready to share his industry knowledge, a brave and kind and wonderful man, an institution to the industry, genuine, authentic… and my personal favourite from Amanda Cromhout CADipL™️ who described you as MAGNIFICENT!”

A close friend, Brandon de Kock (1986K) shared the following thoughts about Stuart:

Stuart Lowe has passed away, leaving behind a legacy that embodies the truest meaning of love and admiration. To be deeply cherished by his wife, his children, his family—and, indeed, even by his business competitors—was no small feat. Stuart was loved widely, not just by those closest to him, but by colleagues and friends enough to fill a stadium, and by generations of beloved dogs who knew the warmth of his presence.

I mourn my friend of 47 years.  A steadfast partner and loving father is a treasure we honor. This community holds a high standard for fathers; we do not overlook the ones who exemplify what it truly means to love, even when tested in the cruelest of ways. Stuart’s life was a testament to this, as captured in his wife’s book, Get Me to 21. Get Me to 21: The Jenna Lowe Story is the riveting memoir by Gabi sharing her family's extraordinary four-year battle to save Jenna's life after she was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension.

More than a devoted family man, Stuart was a joyful, funny, cheeky spirit—one who lit up every room he entered. He was a leader, a creative thinker, and a hardworking businessman whose ingenuity knew no bounds. His loss has sent waves of grief through my world and surely through many others. A light has gone out with his passing, but here’s to Stu—here’s to the Good Men. Though they leave broken hearts behind, they leave this world, their families, and communities all the better for having known them.

Stuart is survived by his wife Gabi and their daughter Kristi.
