Tim Brink (1985,O) passing

Tim was first and foremost a family man and a great friend to many, he was a people’s person.

Tim (Timothy) Brink (1985,O), a respected and well loved figure in the cycling community, passed away on August 1, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Known for his roles as editor of Bicycling Magazine SA and Ride Magazine, Tim inspired many with his passion for cycling. He was a fervent advocate for safe cycling and promoting women's participation in the sport. Throughout his career, he supported the Pedal Power Association and contributed significantly to cycling journalism in South Africa.

Tim's legacy extends beyond his professional accomplishments; he was admired for his positive outlook on life and his dedication to his family and friends. His contributions to the cycling world, particularly his involvement in events like the Cape Town Cycle Tour, have left a lasting impact on the community.

Tim was first and foremost a family man and a great friend to many, he was a people’s person. He always saw the positive side of life even during his illness. He was grateful for every moment he got to spend with his family and was always filled with hope.
