Class of 1957

We received the sad news of the passing Peter Kleye (1957F) from his son Anton (1986F).  Anton wrote the following about his father:

Dad passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, 7th March 2024 at his home in Constantia after a short battle with cancer.  During his working life he ran a very successful fruit and vegetable import and distribution business in Namibia and Cape Town.

He was an ardent supporter of Bishops and the OD Union and will be dearly missed by his sons Anton and Marc (1988F).

Peter was a very active OD and attended numerous OD events.  He is pictured above (first person on the left) at the Class of 1957 65th Reunion that took place in 2022.

A memorial service will be held in the Brooke Chapel followed by tea at the Mitre on the afternoon of 6 April 2024.  Please contact Anton at [email protected] to confirm arrangements.

Peter is survived by his two sons and four grandchildren.

May he rest in peace.
