Lindsay Hunting (1978W) passes away

A memorial service is being held at 11AM on 1 April at The Vineyard Chapel at Summerhill

We received the sad news that Lindsay Hunting had passed away in Stellenbosch on Monday, 20 March 2023 after a two year battle with cancer.  His daughter, Kimberly said he approached his challenges with great courage and good humour.

Lindsay attended Bishops Prep and was in White House when he attended the College until 1973.  He went on to matriculate at St Andrew's.

Before being forced to retire due to his illness, Lindsay had been a very active wine farmer and was instrumental in establishing the cellar on the farm under the Slaley Lable.  He inherited the farm from his father who also was a wine maker and continued to build on the work his dad had started.

His was happily married to Felicity for more than 35 years who he met when they were both on a leadership course.  They had three children  who they raised in Franschoek near Stellenbosch.

He leaves behind his wife, his daughter and two sons named Clive and William.

Our sincerest condolences to the family.
