Digby Thornewill (1960G) passed away on 8th December after a long battle with cancer

Digby Thornewill (1960G) passed away on 8th December after a long battle with cancer.

His wife wrote saying:

"I’m sad to have to tell you that Digby died on December 8th, peacefully at home after nearly 2 years of fighting lung cancer with our son Guy and myself at his side.  For the majority of the time he did very well on immunotherapy, a wonder treatment he was lucky to be suitable for, and with no pain.  We had been married for over 53 years and travelled the world on Army postings from Berlin to Cyprus to Hong Kong.  He had a successful career in the Coldstream Guards and also in the Army Air Corps.  We miss him desperately."
