On Wednesday, 20 October 2021, Sikhona Junior Sidzumo, our loving son, brother and dear friend passed away peacefully in his sleep in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Sikhona was born on 25 August 1987 in Cape Town. He held an LLB Degree and was an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Sikhona also possessed a Corporate Law Certificate and a Post Graduate Diploma (PGDIP) in Management. He was also a legal education enthusiast and provided legal content on his social media and other diverse media platforms.

Sikhona possessed an entrepreneurial spirit, and this was further evidenced by his journey of starting his own legal consulting company, Sidzumo Legal. He had hopes of creating change through outreach programmes and had gone on to start “Sikhona Outreach Programme” in 2010 with his peers. The goal of this initiative was to introduce programs/projects to students from previously disadvantaged communities/schools and provide mentoring, career advice, access to tertiary education, tutoring, girl grooming, job shadowing, entrepreneurial skills, health awareness and other empowering skills.

Sikhona enjoyed art, music, fashion, travelling and fine- dining. He was known and will be remembered for his wit, infectious smile, charisma as well as his kind and compassionate spirit.
