Paul Steven (1984O) | 1966 - 2021

Devoted husband, loving father and proud OD, Paul passed away on the 9th of July 2021 in Cape Town.

Paul attended Bishops from standard 4 to Matric and was always very proud of being an Old Boy of the school. He was a dedicated husband to Kim for 16 years and a devoted father to Maximillian who is in grade 5 at Bishops. Paul was a successful Portfolio Manager at Old Mutual Wealth. While at Bishops he loved his sports and excelled at them. In judo he was awarded 3 black belts - one of which was given to him in Japan while on a 3-month judo tour. His love for cricket put him in the first team and he was a keen rugby player in his school days and an avid supporter later in life. Paul’s integrity was unquestionable, his loyalty undeniable, his kindness and ability to diffuse a situation quite remarkable. He was a loyal family man and always attempted to put a smile on anyone’s face.

He will be forever in our hearts. May his light shine down on us forever.

Kim Steven

Paul’s love for Kim and Max was tangible. We, as parents and friends will miss seeing him always supporting his beautiful boy and always bringing fun and laughter to any gathering. You are in our thoughts and prayers, Kim. May Max find peace in the fact that he has an amazing mother.
