Fred Roed (1991G), founder of
Heavy Chef, an entrepreneurial educational platform, interviewed
Prof. Tim Noakes (1966W) at Workshop 17 in the V&A Waterfront on Thursday 28 March 2019.
It was Prof. Noakes' first time on the Heavy Chef platform, and the presentation formed part of a series called
Work. Life. Nutrition. He spoke
openly about his life's journey, revealing some of the most incredible plot twists and turns during the infamous 'tweet trial'. The audience were fully engaged, and asked insightful and personal questions at the end of the talk. Fred eventually had to call time-out after the umpteenth 'bonus' question, lest he and his daughter missed the Ed Sheeran concert at the Cape Town Stadium.
On Friday 29 March Prof. Noakes held a unique and exclusive masterclass on balancing work-life with a healthy nutrition plan. It promised to be a life-changing experience for entrepreneurs, managers and workers alike.

Also note that there is another Heavy Chef event booked for The Mitre on 11 April 2019.
