The Bishops Campus has been abuzz with thousands of people attending the 175 Rugby and Hockey Festival with this trend set to continue till Sunday 24 March 2024, when it finishes.

This is a time for ODs and other schools' alumni to come and watch exciting sport, as well as for ODs to play in a couple of matches against other sides.

Yesterday Thomas van Poucke (1999,O), the Mauritius Branch Secretary visited, and can be seen in the photograph with his Mother, Mrs van Poucke, Myles Brown (1999W), Thomas (1999O), and Lourens van Zyl (2000K)

Tom van Poucke visited the ODU in July 2023 with his wife Nicki and children Felix and Max.

Tom watched the OD/OM game and the main match yesterday, and reports

"A great Founders Day in Mauritius whereby we had a golf day with 10 Teams from 9 different schools represented.  Bishops, represented by Pierre Joubert (1983F) and myself tied with St Stithians at the top to win the day on a countback."

Tom has said he will send in a formal write-up of the event along with some photographs for publication on the ODU Website.  We look forward to sharing this with ODs.
