Congratulations to Mike on 40 years of flying solo! Mike has spent endless hours flying to amazing places. Those who know Mike will know of his incredible generosity, inviting people on flights only because they showed some interest in flying, no matter what their background may be. Mike has donated countless hours to charity as well.

Over the years, Mike has seen some incredible things including Apollo 13 Commander Jim Lovell and Apollo 11’s Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin at Oshkosh 1994 - 25th anniversary of the moon landing, a formation flypast at Bishops and avoiding orange trees while jumping round parachutes at Citrusdal.
Mike: "
Celebrating 40 years of solo flight : On this day in 1979 I was able to write the word ‘Self’ in the column under Pilot in Command for the first time after I was let loose at Cape Town Airport on my own! So grateful for all the adventures I’ve had and all the friends I’ve made along the way in aviation."
Mike, you're a true representation of the spirit of Bishops and all that it stands for. May you have many more wonderful ears of safe returns and flying high above the clouds!
