OD Rugby Club |
The day is finally here and teams of Bishops staff and boys embark on a 24-hour Youth Day Cycle Challenge to raise funds for the VUSA Rugby and Learning Academy. The teams are captained by OD rugby internationals and include Oli Kebble, Christian Stewart, Rob Fleck, Stuart Abbott, Nick Koster, JJ Gigiano, Mike Fox, Dasch Barber and Francois Louw. We are so grateful to these guys who have been checking in on the Boys and sending messages of encouragement and support after another disappointing suspended season.
The event will be broadcast for 24 hours. We have attached a programme of events. Please note that as this is a live event, this will be subject to change. Please click on THIS link to join the show at any time. Highlights of the programme include a competition for the Best Try in 40 years voted by their year groups. Tank Lanning has created a Bishops Rugby Quiz – don’t worry, it’s multiple choice so even if rugby’s not your thing we encourage you to submit an entry to stand a chance of winning a 2-night stay at the beautiful Pines Manor House in the Hex River Valley generously donated by the Graaff Family. To enter the quiz, click HERE.
We have an interview with Matt Pearce, Rob Fleck and Stuart Abbott, messages, and memories from ODs and boys. So, if you’re a Bishops boy, a parent, a past parent or an OD there is sure to be something of interest. Please support the teams and support this amazing cause by visiting the event page - https://www.vusarugbyacademy.com/vusa24.
