Dave Cumming (1997G) paid a visit to The Mitre to donate some of his father's Bishops Memorabilia to the Museum.
Dave's father was John Cumming (1951G), who was Senior Prefect and Captain of the First Rugby XV. His vice-captain was Tommy Gentles (1951G), who is still the smallest recorded player to represent the Springboks.
John himself represented England at rugby.
Among the memorabilia are Principal's Newsletters by Mr Kidd, school fee receipts, dress regulations, newspaper clippings, Centenary Celebration brochures, and academic reports.
Dave is in contact with Dr Paul Murray (Bishops Historian and Archivist), and they are looking at ways to display these, and other memorabilia related to John, and the era around the Centenary of Bishops.
