Congratulations to Haroon Bhorat, on being selected as one of the new economic advisors for President Cyril Ramaphosa. Haroon is a professor of economics and Director of the Development Policy Research Unit, University of Cape Town. Bhorat could be described as a development economist. His research covers labour economics, poverty and income distribution.
