The Tool Shed in Founders House.

The Tool Shed stands under the fire staircase to the Founders House Grade 10 Dorm (originally known as the Gray Dorm). This photo was taken by Andy Selfe (Founders, 1968).

We published an aerial photo of the school in 1966 taken by OD Donald Fraser Bett.  We then gave a list of all the buildings constructed subsequent to that aerial photo.  We then asked ODs to let us know what we might have omitted.  We received an email from Andy Selfe (FH - 1968) to say that: "One building you didn’t mention: the Tool-shed at the back of Founders, the brainchild of now late Mark Stanford and built by a team consisting of him, late Charles Kidd, Charles McGregor, whose father donated 1000 bricks, and me. There may have been others, I don’t remember."  This building was constructed in Andy's matric year (1968).

Thank you for sending in this important information and continuing to be interested in Bishops' history.

Please write to the school archivist Paul Murray [email protected] if there is any further information relevant to the topic that you would like to share.
