Announcements |
At the 2025 AGM, to be held on 4 March 2025, the current term of office of the existing committee members comes to an end. Current members may be reelected if so willing and nominated for three successive terms of service. Now we are looking for nominations from both the existing committee and the broad family of ODs.
The Committee consists of twelve members and is an executive committee responsible for the governance, oversight and the strategic development of the OD Union within its Constitution. It meets four times a year at The Mitre and via Zoom for remote members.
While much of the day-to-day running falls to the staff at The Mitre, the Committee also ensure the delivery of certain operational areas which include communication, finance, the mentoring programme and clubs and societies.
The OD Union is calling for nominations for candidates who would like to serve on the Committee from March 2025 until the AGM in March 2026.
We would be very grateful if you would nominate ODs you believe would be able to support the OD Union and have the skills, energy, commitment and time to want to do so.
Committee members do not have to be based in Cape Town; they can live anywhere in the world but need to be aware of constraints that may be imposed by world time differences.
If you would like to stand for election, you are very welcome to nominate yourself. Information required includes the name of the candidate, house and year and a short (no more than 200-word bio) which should lay out the candidate’s objectives while on the committee.
Click on the link below to submit your nominations. You are able to submit as many nominations as you like.

Union.
