Congratulations to Nic Allison (2023B), previous Head Boy, on his recent selection for the English under 19 Rugby team. Nic was rugby captain in 2023. His brother Seb Allison (2020B) encouraged him to play rugby and he has been making great progress since he started.
Nic's mom, Leanne, let us know that he is currently with the Exeter Chiefs premiership club. He is starting at Exeter university in September to study Economics and Finance which is the start of their academic year.
Exeter Chiefs write:
Born in Cape Town, Nic Allison plays his rugby in the centre and arrived at Sandy Park in time for the pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 season. Originally beginning to play rugby after the influence of his brother and dad to give it a try, the youngster started to excel in the sport. Prior to becoming a part of the Chiefs family, Allison played school boy rugby.
His dad, Gareth, also played for England U19 before he joined UK rugby club, Harlequins in the 90s. Since Nic has joined the Exeter University Rugby Club he has played a few games for them at Center.
While there he was able to play in the same team as Luke Shuttleworth (2021K).
Below is a photo of Greg Shuttleworth (Former Van der Bijl Housemaster at Bishops Prep), Luke and Nic.
His exceptional skills were evident in matches against France and Italy.
The OD Union and school are immensely proud of his achievements.
