Bishops OD Forum

Our ODs are spread across the globe.  Many people are working or living abroad.  Often people want to know how to find fellow-ODs in other countries.  Here are some easy steps to follow to do that.  There is also a short (less than 2-minute video) at the end for you to recap.

It is important to note that when searches are done, people may no longer be based in the country that they used to work or live in.  The searches will show the last location that an OD updated on their profile.   Here are those steps:

STEP 1:  Log onto OD Connect

Once logged on, click on OD Community in the menu bar.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on advanced options.

STEP 2:  Search

Select the criteria that would help your search (city/country) by entering those details or from the drop-down lists provided.

Click on Search. Names will appear of ANYONE WHO:

  • Used to, or currently works in that country (the country information will be in their profile details that they updated or forgot to update).

  • Studied in that country.

  • Currently lives or used to live in that country based on the profile information they have entered on the OD Connect Portal.

REMINDERIf you have not updated your information recently, we may not have the correct details.  We rely on our members to keep their own data relevant and up to date.  So thank you to all of you who do this regularly.

STEP 3:  View and connect

Should you want to connect with anyone listed and find out if they are still based in that country, you can click on their profile and even email them using the ‘Send a message’ option on the top, right-hand side of the screen.

This tool can be very useful if you are looking for someone in your area or if you are visiting or relocating to another country and would like to connect with an OD based there.

Happy searching and remember to keep your own location and profile information up to date!
